A5 Adapter
The A5 Adapter connects to a standard PC COM port and converts the serial data signals from RS232 to RS422 levels, which are used by Leppo Instruments terminals and multiplexers.

RS422 is a 4-wire standard which provide reliable communications at distances up to 4000 feet when used with CAT5 cabling.

A DB9 connector plugs into the PC; an RJ45 jack is compatable with CAT5 cable connections that interface with all Leppo Instruments terminals and multiplexers.

The A5 is powered from the PC's COM port
